Old Iron Rust (Ferric Oxide or red iron oxide)

Triphala Decoction (Powdered myrobalan tincture of amla, haritaki and bibhitaki)

Aloe Vera Juice

Cow’s Urine


Take finely powdered ferric oxide and decoction of powdered triphala in a ratio of 1:4.

Mix it properly and put it in a large bottom vessel.

Put it on flame and boil it till the soluble part evaporates and only the powder remains.

Now, scrape out the remaining powder and grind it with aloe vera juice and cow’s urine.

Allow it to dry in air and then heat the mixture at high temperature to dry out completely.

Repeat this process of purification to get excellent quality of Mandur bhasma.
