Kalonji or Kalojeere, also known as black cumin or black caraway that goes with the botanical name Nigella sativa is a flowering plant that grows vastly in the regions native to south and southwest Asia. 2 cloves

2 cardamom, crushed

2 cups of water

Salt to taste

In a kadhai, heat ghee. Add bay leaf, ginger garlic paste, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves.

Fry well. Add finely sliced garlic cloves and fry till it turns brown.

Add water and let it boil. Add salt

Add soaked basmati rice to the water and let it cook till done.

Sprinkle Kalonji seeds, jeera and close the lid. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
