Introduction About CLOPILET A 75 CAPSULE

CLOPILET A 75 Capsule contains a dual combination of Aspirin and Clopidogrel, two well-known antiplatelet agents used to support heart (heart attack, cardiovascular death or refractory ischemia and blood vessel health (stroke).

Follow a healthy low-fat diet as advised by doctor to achieve better results. Avoid drinking alcohol as it could increase the risk of bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract.

Do not stop taking CLOPILET A 75 CAPSULE abruptly without consulting your doctor because premature discontinuation of this medicine may increase the risk of cardiovascular events. It is not recommended for use in patients having severe liver, kidney or lung disease.

This medicine is generally not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women and in children (below 18 years). Consult your doctor for an alternative therapy.

Common side effects of taking CLOPILET A 75 CAPSULE are diarrhea, nausea, stomach pain and indigestion. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.

Uses Of CLOPILET A 75 CAPSULE

    Manages

    • atherothrombotic events such as myocardial infarction, stroke, cardiovascular death or refractory ischemia

How CLOPILET A 75 CAPSULE Works

    • Clopidogrel is a prodrug: It requires activation in the liver by enzymes, mainly CYP2C19, to become effective.
    • It irreversibly inhibits the P2Y12 receptor: This receptor is found on the surface of platelets (blood cells involved in clotting).
    • Blocking the receptor: stops ADP (adenosine diphosphate) from binding to the P2Y12 receptor, which stops the activation of platelets.
    • Stops platelet aggregation: As a result, platelets do not stick together easily, reducing blood clot formation.
    • Long-lasting effect: Because it irreversibly binds, the inhibition lasts for the lifespan of the platelet, about 7-10 days.
    • Supports blood flow: This mechanism helps lower the risk of clots blocking blood vessels, supporting cardiovascular health.
