    Introduction About ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET

    ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET is a combination of Diclofenac, Paracetamol and Trypsin Chymotrypsin which belongs to the group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory agents (NSAIDs), Analgesics and Proteolytic Enzymes respectively. It is used to relieve various forms of pain and inflammation in conditions such as surgical trauma, fracture and dislocation, post traumatic oedema, post-operative wounds, gynaecological inflammatory conditions, ENT inflammatory conditions and dental inflammatory conditions.

    Avoid smoking and consuming alcohol during the management with ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET. It is not recommended for use in patients having liver, kidney, heart, lung diseases, active stomach or intestinal ulcer, bleeding or perforation of the gastrointestinal tract, gastric hemorrhage, and increased eye pressure. ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET should be used with caution in patients who have ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), hypertension, hyperlipidemia (increased cholesterol levels), diabetes mellitus and clotting disorders.

    ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET is not suitable for use in pregnant women. There is limited studies available on the use of this medicine in breastfeeding women. Caution must be exercised while taking ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET in children and elderly patients. The most common side effects of taking ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET are nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, heartburn, stomach pain, indigestion, and loss of appetite. Consult your doctor’s advice if any of these above side effects worsen or persists for a longer duration.

    Uses Of ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET

    It is used to relieve pain and inflammation in conditions such as:

    • surgical trauma
    • fracture and dislocation
    • post traumatic oedema
    • post-operative wounds
    • gynaecological inflammatory conditions
    • ENT inflammatory conditions
    • dental inflammatory conditions

    How ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET Works

    ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET helps in managing various pain and inflammatory condition where Diclofenac and Paracetamol works by reducing the effects of prostaglandin (substance produced during injury and inflammation causing pain) thereby blocking the pain signals between the brain and nerve endings. Trypsin Chymotrypsin is a combination of enzymes which break down proteins into smaller fragments, thereby making them available for absorption into the blood and increases blood supply in the affected area and reduce swelling. It also has analgesic effects and reduces the pain which is associated with healing.

    How to use ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET

    Take ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition.

    Side Effects Of ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET

    Common

    • nausea, vomiting
    • diarrheoa
    • heartburn
    • stomach pain
    • indigestion
    • loss of appetite

    Rare

    Stop taking ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET and inform your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

    • signs of liver disease (abdominal pain and swelling, swelling in the legs and ankles, itchy skin, dark urine color, pale stool color)
    • signs of hypersensitivity, skin rash, or mucosal changes

    How To Manage Side Effects

    Diarrhea

    Drink more fluids like water or fruit juice to keep yourself hydrated. Do not consume any medicine on your own for diarrhea without consulting your doctor.

    Nausea And Vomiting

    Take this medicine with, or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Drink clear or ice-cold drinks, eat light, bland foods and avoid fried, oily, or sweet foods. If the symptom not improved, consult with your doctor.

    Stomach Pain

    Try to rest and relax. Eat and drink slowly or try to have lesser and more frequent meals. Keep a heating pad on your stomach. If the symptom not improved, consult with your doctor.

    Driving and Using Machines

    Use with Caution

    Do not drive or use machineries if you feel visual disturbances, dizziness, vertigo, excessive sleepiness, or fatigue after taking ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET.

    Alcohol

    Contraindicated

    Consumption of alcohol is not recommended while taking ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET as it may worsen the side effects.

    Kidney

    Contraindicated

    ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney disease. Consult your doctor before taking.

    Liver

    Contraindicated

    ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe liver disease. Consult your doctor before taking.

    Allergy

    Contraindicated

    Do not take ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET if you are allergic to Diclofenac, Paracetamol, Trypsin Chymotrypsin, or any other ingredients of this medicine.

    Lungs

    Contraindicated

    ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with lung diseases such as asthma. Consult your doctor before taking.

    Others

    ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET is not recommended for use if you have:

    • active intestinal or stomach ulcer
    • bleeding or perforation of the gastrointestinal tract
    • gastric hemorrhage
    • increased eye pressure

    Before taking ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET inform your doctor if you have:

    Interactions

    A. Drug-Drug Interactions:

    Tell your physician if you are taking any of the following medicines before taking ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET:

    • lithium (used to manage mental illness)
    • citalopram (used to manage depression and anxiety)
    • digoxin, furosemide, spironolactone, ramipril (used to manage heart problems)
    • amiodarone (used to manage high blood pressure and chronic stable angina)
    • ciclosporin, tacrolimus, trimethoprim (medicines that cause increased levels of potassium in the blood)
    • warfarin, and heparin (used to manage blood clots or as blood thinners)
    • celecoxib, corticosteroids such as prednisolone (used to manage pain and inflammation)
    • metformin, sitagliptin (used to manage diabetes)
    • methotrexate (used to manage cancer)
    • ciprofloxacin, moxifloxacin (used to manage bacterial infection)
    • phenytoin (used to manage fits)
    • colestipol, cholestyramine (used to lower the cholesterol levels)
    • mifepristone (used to terminate pregnancy)

    Overdosage:

    If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much of ZYMOTRIP DP TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
