    Introduction About ZOCON EYE DROPS

    ZOCON EYE DROPS contains Fluconazole which belongs to a group of medicines called Antifungals. It is used to manage fungal or yeast eye/ear infections, such as candidiasis caused by candida.

    ZOCON EYE DROPS manages fungal keratitis (infection of the cornea) and filamentous mycotic keratitis (sight-threatening diseases cause by fungi). It can also be used to manage otomycosis (outer ear canal infection).

    Before using ZOCON EYE DROPS inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney, lung or heart diseases. ZOCON EYE DROPS should be used in pregnant women only if considered clearly necessary and is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Consult with your doctor before using. ZOCON EYE DROPS should not be used in children below 13 years of age.

    The most common side effects of using ZOCON EYE DROPS are irritation or stinging sensation, diarrhoea and headache. Consult with your doctor if any of these worsen or doesn’t improve.

    How ZOCON EYE DROPS Works

    ZOCON EYE DROPS helps in manage fungal infection where Fluconazole inhibits the synthesis of certain compounds that are essential components of the fungal cell membrane. Moreover, it also impairs various important biological processes inside the fungal cell body required for its survival, thereby killing the killing the fungal cell bodies.

    How to use ZOCON EYE DROPS

    Use ZOCON EYE DROPS as advised by your physician. It is for external use only. Wash your hands before and after using. Your doctor will fix the correct dose and duration of ZOCON EYE DROPS for you based upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

    Side Effects Of ZOCON EYE DROPS

    Common

    How To Manage Side Effects

    Diarrhoea:

    Drink lots of fluids, such as water or fruit juice to keep yourself hydrated. Do not consume any medicine on your own without consulting your doctor. Ask for your doctor’s advice if diarrhoea doesn’t improve.

    Headache:

    Try to take rest and don’t involve yourself in exertive activities. Rest in a quiet and dark room. Apply a pain-relieving balm on your forehead. Ask for your doctor’s advice if headache doesn’t improve.

    Eye Irritation:

    Close your eyes and relax for some time. Place an ice pack over the eyes for few minutes. Avoid watching mobile phone, computer, laptop or any other light sources which might irritate your eye. If the symptom persists or worsen, contact your doctor.

    ZOCON EYE DROPS should be used in pregnant women only if considered clearly necessary by the doctor. Consult with your doctor before using.

    Breastfeeding

    ZOCON EYE DROPS is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it passes through breast milk. Consult with your doctor before using.

    Allergy

    Do not use ZOCON EYE DROPS if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Fluconazole or to other ingredients of this medicine

    Others

    Use in paediatrics:

    ZOCON EYE DROPS is not recommended for use in children below 13 years of age as safety and efficacy of ZOCON EYE DROPS has not been established in this group. Consult with your child’s doctor before using it for your child.

    Interactions

    A. Drug-Drug interactions:

    Before using ZOCON EYE DROPS, tell your doctor if you have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription, vitamin supplement or herbal products.

    Overdosage:

    If you or anyone else accidentally ingests or use too much of ZOCON EYE DROPS, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
