    Introduction About ZOCON 2% LOTION

    ZOCON 2% LOTION contains Fluconazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Antifungal agents. It is used to manage dermal fungal infections (dermatomycosis) caused by dermatophytes, yeasts, and moulds such as tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea corporis (ring worm), tinea cruris (fungal sweat rash), and tinea versicolor.

    Tinea pedis (athlete's foot) is a fungal infection that begins between toes generally in people whose feet remain sweaty. It is characterized by symptoms such as scaly rashes, itching, stinging, and burning between toes. Tinea corporis (ring worm) is a fungal infection causing circular itchy rashes with clearer skin in the middle, resembling a ring.

    Tinea cruris (fungal sweat rash) or jock itch is a fungal infection characterized by red and itchy rashes in the moist areas of the body such as groin. Tinea versicolor is a fungal infection that is characterized by abnormal skin pigmentation such as light and dark patches at the affected area.

    Before using ZOCON 2% LOTION inform your doctor if you have kidney, liver, heart, and lung problems. ZOCON 2% LOTION is not recommended to use among women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. ZOCON 2% LOTION can be used in children and adolescents. Consult with your child’s doctor before using it for your child.

    There is no information on the use of ZOCON 2% LOTION in elderly patients. Consult with your doctor before using. The most common side effects of using ZOCON 2% LOTION are skin rash, irritation, dryness or cracking of the surrounding area, itchiness and burning sensation at the site of application. Contact your doctor if any of the above symptoms worsen or persists.

    How to use ZOCON 2% LOTION

    Always apply ZOCON 2% LOTION as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Clean and dry the affected area and apply a thin layer of ZOCON 2% LOTION to the affected area. Wash your hands before and after application. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of ZOCON 2% LOTION for you depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition.
