    How ZITA D TABLET Works

ZITA D TABLET is a combination of Dapagliflozin and Teneligliptin which helps to lower blood glucose levels. Dapagliflozin belongs to a class of medications called sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors which works by inhibiting the reabsorption of glucose in the kidneys, causing excess glucose to be excreted through urine. By lowering blood glucose levels, dapagliflozin helps to improve glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes. Teneligliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor which works by inhibiting the enzyme DPP-4, which breaks down incretin hormones such as GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1). By inhibiting DPP-4, teneligliptin increases the levels of GLP-1, which stimulates insulin secretion and reduces glucagon release. This helps to lower blood glucose levels.
