    Introduction About ZEET 12 SYRUP

    ZEET 12 SYRUP is used to temporarily relieve dry cough due to minor throat or bronchial irritation. It contains a medicine called Dextromethorphan which acts on the central nervous system and suppresses cough reflexes.

    Take the recommended amount of the medicine as instructed by your doctor. If symptoms persist more than 7 days or worsen, consult your doctor for advice.

    Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have kidney problems, liver problems, or persistent cough due to excessive respiratory secretions, asthma or due to habit smoking. Dextromethorphan 15gm syrup is prescribed for adults and in children aged 12 years or older.

    Avoid concomitant use of ZEET 12 SYRUP with antidepressants, CNS depressant medications, antipsychotics, alcohol without consulting your doctor to avoid unpleasant side effects. Talk to your doctor before taking ZEET 12 SYRUP if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

    Dextromethorphan can cause dizziness in some individuals. Therefore, do not drive or involve yourself in handling heavy tools or machines until your abilities are clear.

    • CYP2D6 inhibitors
    • Cardiac drugs (such as quinidine, amiodarone, flecainide, propafenone)

    • Antipsychotics (such as haloperidol, perphenazine and thioridazine)
    • Alcohol
    • Antihistamines (such as cetirizine)

    If you or anyone else taken excessive amount of ZEET 12 SYRUP, consult your doctor for advice. In cases of overdosage you may experience drowsiness, lethargy, nystagmus, ataxia, respiratory depression, nausea, vomiting, hyperactivity.
