Z CAL A TABLET is a dietary supplement used to manage or manage low blood calcium levels in people who do not get adequate calcium from their diet. It is used in the management of osteoporosis (bone loss), osteomalacia, rickets (weak bones), hypoparathyroidism (decreased activity of the parathyroid gland), and a certain muscle disease (latent tetanus). It may also be used in pregnancy, lactation, and post-menopausal women. It contains alfacalcidol and calcium as active ingredients.
Alfacalcidol helps in the absorption of calcium and phosphorus from the intestine for the formation of strong bones. Calcium citrate is essential for the normal functioning of cells, nerves, muscles, and bones.
