The Yuwell Mercury Sphygmomanometer is a manually-operated, desk-type blood pressure monitoring device intended for professional and home use. It is designed for taking measurements from the upper arm and is suitable for individuals who need to monitor their blood pressure frequently. This traditional mercury-based apparatus is built for stability and longevity, offering a conventional method for blood pressure measurement.

Clear Display: Features a metal face plate with an easy-to-read scale that measures up to 300mmHg, with display units in both kPa and mmHg. Secure Mercury Lock: Equipped with a mercury lock to secure the mercury during transport, storage, or maintenance, preventing spills. Precision Air Valve: Includes a precision air release valve that is designed for regulation without wear. Durable Cuff: Comes with a standard cotton cuff suitable for an upper-arm circumference of 22cm to 42cm. Sturdy Construction: The device has a fold-down cover with a spring lock mechanism for protection and portability.

Q: What components are included with the Yuwell Mercury Sphygmomanometer?

A: The package typically includes the main sphygmomanometer unit with a mercury column, an inflatable cuff, a hand-operated inflation bulb, a release valve, and a stethoscope.

Q: What is the measurement range of this device?

A: This sphygmomanometer has a measurement range of 0 to 300 mmHg (0-40kPa).

Q: How should the cuff be positioned for a reading?

A: The cuff should be wrapped around the upper arm, with its lower edge about 3 cm above the elbow joint, ensuring it is not too tight or too loose. It is often recommended to align the middle of the cuff with the brachial artery.

A: For consistent readings, it is suggested to measure your blood pressure at the same time each day in a quiet environment. The person being measured should be relaxed and seated beside a table.

Q: What precautions should be taken for storage and maintenance?

A: The device should be stored in a dry place and cleaned with a soft cloth. It features a mercury lock to secure the mercury during transport or storage. It is advisable to consult a healthcare professional for proper usage and interpretation of results.

    Direction for Use/Dosage

Before measurement, rest for about 5 minutes. Do not eat, smoke, or drink before taking a reading. Sit comfortably beside a table, ensuring you are relaxed. Wear loose clothing or bare your arm. Wrap the cuff snugly around the upper arm, about 2-3 cm above the elbow joint, with the artery mark aligned with the brachial artery. Place the stethoscope head over the brachial artery. Close the valve and inflate the cuff by squeezing the bulb until the pressure is about 30 mmHg higher than your usual systolic pressure. Slowly open the valve to release the air. The first sound you hear is the systolic pressure, and the point where the sound disappears is the diastolic pressure. Always consult the product manual for detailed instructions before use.
