Introduction About WOUNSOL OINTMENT
Wounsol Ointment is a topical preparation that is used to manage minor wounds, cuts, and burn. It contains povidone iodine, sucralfate and ornidazole as active ingredients that work together to heal wounds.
Povidone iodine inhibits the bacterial growth by releasing iodine and exerts strong antioxidant activity. It thus leads to denaturation of proteins and untimely cell death of microbes. Ornidazole is active against certain protozoa and anaerobic bacteria and its works by damaging DNA and other critical biomolecules of the microbes.
Sucralfate promotes wound healing, helps in formation of new tissue growth, and aids regeneration and repair of damaged tissues, thus manages infections and promotes wound healing.
