Introduction About VIBOLIV 500MG TABLET
VIBOLIV 500MG TABLET contains Metadoxine, which belongs to a group of medicines called Alcohol Deterrents. VIBOLIV 500MG TABLET is used in the management of alcohol intoxication, which occurs as a disturbance in behaviour/mental function during or after alcohol consumption in affected individuals.
VIBOLIV 500MG TABLET is also used to manage chronic alcoholism, which occurs due to habitual and prolonged use of alcoholic beverages in affected individuals.
VIBOLIV 500MG TABLET is not recommended for use by patients allergic to Metadoxine.
Before taking VIBOLIV 500MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you suffer from Parkinson's disease (a brain disorder that causes unintended or uncontrollable movements) and/or have kidney problems or liver problems (such as alcoholic liver damage).
VIBOLIV 500MG TABLET is not recommended for use during pregnancy unless it is clearly necessary. It is also not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it reduces the synthesis of prolactin (the hormone responsible for producing milk during pregnancy and after birth).
The medicine is also not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years) and is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years or older) after consulting the doctor.
The most common side effects of taking VIBOLIV 500MG TABLET are diarrhea, skin rash, numbness, and/or drowsiness. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsen.
