Description
The Bionote Vcheck D-dimer Test Kit is an in-vitro diagnostic tool for the quantitative measurement of D-dimer concentration in canine plasma. D-dimer is a product of fibrin degradation, and its presence in the blood indicates the body's coagulation and fibrinolysis status. This test is intended for use by veterinarians as an aid in screening for conditions like thromboembolism (TE) and disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) in dogs that are at high risk.
Quantitative Measurement: Provides a numerical measurement of D-dimer concentration in canine plasma, not just a positive or negative result.
Canine Specific: Designed specifically for use with canine samples to ensure relevance and accuracy in dogs.
Fluorescent Immunoassay Technology: Utilizes a fluorescent immunoassay method for detecting and quantifying D-dimer levels.
For Professional Use: This diagnostic test kit is intended to be used only by veterinary professionals in a clinical setting.
Rapid Results: The test provides results within a short timeframe, allowing for timely clinical decisions.
Q: What is the Bionote Vcheck D-Dimer test used for?
A: This is an in-vitro diagnostic test kit for the quantitative measurement of D-dimer concentration in canine plasma. It is intended for use by veterinarians to aid in screening for conditions such as Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC) and other thromboembolic disorders in dogs.
Q: What type of sample is required for this test?
A: The test requires 5µl of canine plasma that has been collected in a sodium citrate tube.
Q: How long does it take to get a result?
A: The test provides results in approximately 5 minutes after the sample is applied to the test device.
Q: Is this a standalone diagnostic test?
A: No, it is intended to be used as an ancillary test. The results should be considered by a veterinarian along with the patient's history, clinical signs, and other laboratory findings to make a diagnosis.
Q: Who should use this test kit?
A: The Bionote Vcheck D-dimer test kit is designed to be used exclusively by veterinary professionals in a clinical setting.

Key Benefits
Aids in the diagnosis of serious blood clotting disorders in dogs, such as Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation (DIC) and Pulmonary Thromboembolism (PTE).
Allows for the monitoring of antithrombotic therapy to assess the animal's response to treatment.
Can be used to help predict the survival prognosis for dogs after surgery by assessing the risk of thrombosis.
A negative test result can be useful for ruling out thromboembolism, providing valuable information for diagnosis.
The quantitative results offer more detailed clinical insight compared to qualitative tests, helping to correlate with clinical signs.

Direction for Use/Dosage
For use by veterinary professionals only.
All reagents and samples must be at room temperature (15-30°C) before testing.
Collect a whole blood sample from the canine patient.
Prepare a plasma sample using sodium citrate as the anticoagulant.
Use a pipette to draw 5µl of the plasma and add it to the assay diluent tube.
Mix the sample with the diluent thoroughly.
Add the entire mixed sample into the sample well of the Vcheck test device.
Insert the test device into the Bionote Vcheck analyzer and press 'START' to begin the analysis. The analyzer will automatically read the result in approximately 5 minutes.
