    Introduction About URIKIND TABLET

    URIKIND TABLET contains Flavoxate which belongs to the group of medicines called Urinary Antispasmodics. It is used to manage muscle spasms of the urinary tract. It can also be used to relieve the unpleasant urinary symptoms (such as excessive or painful urination or urinary incontinence) associated with any surgical or diagnostic procedures (such as cystoscopy or catheterisation).

    Take URIKIND TABLET preferably after meals or as directed by the physician. Prior to the management, your doctor may want you to take several blood tests to understand your existing condition.

    Before taking URIKIND TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any stomach or kidney problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have any bleeding in the digestive tract, glaucoma or myasthenia gravis (severe muscle weakness) as a precaution.

    URIKIND TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with urinary retention (unable to empty the bladder completely). It is also not suitable for use in children aged below 12 years. Inform your doctor before taking URIKIND TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

    The most common side effects of taking URIKIND TABLET are nausea, vomiting and stomach upset. These side effects can be reduced if URIKIND TABLET is taken with meals. However, consult your doctor if they trouble you.

    Uses Of URIKIND TABLET

    It is used to:

    • manage muscle spasms of the urinary tract
    • relieve unpleasant urinary symptoms (such as excessive or painful urination or urinary incontinence) associated with any surgical or diagnostic procedures

    How URIKIND TABLET Works

    URIKIND TABLET is an antispasmodic medication. It relaxes the muscles surrounding the bladder. This helps in reducing bladder contraction in patients with bladder inflammation which, therefore reduces pain and spasms associated with it. It also helps the bladder to hold a more volume of urine and controls urine flow which helps in reducing unpleasant urinary symptoms.

    How to use URIKIND TABLET

    Take URIKIND TABLET preferably after meals or as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.

    Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. Do not stop taking URIKIND TABLET without consulting your doctor.

    How To Manage Side Effects

    Nausea and Vomiting:

    Taking URIKIND TABLET with or just after meals may help in reducing nausea and vomiting. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oil rich or spicy foods. Consult your doctor if your nausea worsens.

    Dry mouth:

    Try to drink plenty of water. Sip on cold unsweetened drinks and use lip balm if your lips are dry. Consult your doctor if the symptom gets worse.   

    Warning & Precautions

    Pregnancy

    The safety and effectiveness of URIKIND TABLET is not established in pregnant women. Therefore, inform your doctor before taking URIKIND TABLET if you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby as a precaution.

    Breastfeeding

    The safety and effectiveness of URIKIND TABLET is not established in breastfeeding women. Therefore, inform your doctor before taking URIKIND TABLET if wish to breastfeed.

    Driving and Using Machines

    Do not drive or operate any machines if you experience sleepiness or blurred vision after taking URIKIND TABLET.

    Kidney

    URIKIND TABLET should be used with caution in patients with impaired kidney function. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.

    Allergy

    Do not take URIKIND TABLET if you are allergic to Flavoxate.

    Others

    URIKIND TABLET is not recommended for use if you:

    • have any block or obstruction in the gut
    • have bleeding in your digestive tract
    • have achalasia (muscular inability to swallow)
    • have urinary retention (not able to completely empty your bladder)
    • have glaucoma
    • have myasthenia gravis (a disease which causes general weakness and overtiredness of the muscles)

    Use in paediatrics:

    URIKIND TABLET is generally not recommended for use in children (aged below 12 years). Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.

    Use in geriatrics:

    URIKIND TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.

    Interactions

    A. Drug-Drug interactions:

    Before taking URIKIND TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking, have taken, or might take any other medicine, including prescription, non-prescription or any herbal medicine.

    Overdosage:

    If you or anyone else accidentally took more URIKIND TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
