    Introduction About TUGAIN 5% GEL

Tugain Gel 5 is a topical gel used to enhance growth of hair in men diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia (a condition characterized by having a receding hairline and hair loss in male-pattern at the top of scalp). It contains minoxidil as an active ingredient that stimulates hair growth.

Minoxidil promotes hair growth by causing an increase in the size of hair follicle. It also decreases hair loss by causing a change in the enzymatic activity of the enzyme sulfotransferase. Increased activity of sulfotransferase enzyme leads to increased growth of hair follicles.

Use Tugain Gel 5 as advised by the doctor. It is to be used only by men and is not recommended to be used by women. Do not use it if you are suffering from heart disease, high blood pressure or hypovolemic states such as dehydration.

Inform your doctor if you have a scalp that is inflamed and/or irritated and/or have painful skin or if you have a condition affecting scalp and its skin (Ex. psoriasis, sunburn). Do not use Tugain Gel 5 if you have recently got your scalp shaven or if you have any wound and/or dressing/bandage on scalp.
