INTRODUCTION

TRU TRIO TABLET is a combination of Ginkgo biloba, Piracetam and Vinpocetine which belongs to the group of medicines called Nootropics. It is used as a cognitive enhancer and helps to improve brain function, enhance focus and increase the blood flow to the brain. It also improves communication between the nerve cells and protects the brain. This medicine is used to treat the conditions such as stroke and cerebral insufficiency, Alzheimer’s vascular dementia, vertigo and vestibular disorders, stress and anxiety disorders.

TRU TRIO TABLET is not recommended for use if you have serious kidney problems, Huntingtin’s disease, or brain hemorrhage. Before taking TRU TRIO TABLET inform your doctor if you have bleeding problems, epilepsy, hypertension, or cardiac dysfunction. TRU TRIO TABLET is not recommended for use in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

TRU TRIO TABLET is not recommended to use in children and adolescents below 18 years of age. In elderly patients TRU TRIO TABLET should be used with caution. The most common side effects of taking TRU TRIO TABLET are nausea, heartburn, headache, insomnia, dizziness, skin rash, and confusion. Consult your doctor if any of the above side effects worsen or persists for a longer duration.

USES OF TRU TRIO TABLET

It is used:

• as cognitive enhancer and helps to improve brain function
• in conditions such as stroke and cerebral insufficiency, Alzheimer’s vascular dementia, vertigo, vestibular disorders, stress and anxiety disorders

HOW TRU TRIO TABLET WORKS

TRU TRIO TABLET is a combination of Ginkgo biloba, Piracetam, and Vinpocetine where Ginkgo biloba and Piracetam acts on the brain, nervous system and protect it against shortness of oxygen that increases blood flow to the brain and protects it from damage by harmful chemical substances (free radicals). Vinpocetine works by further protecting the brain and nervous system from shortness of oxygen. It enhances intracellular GMP levels in the vascular smooth muscle leading to reduced resistance of cerebral vessels and increases cerebral flow.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Take TRU TRIO TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the right dose and duration depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition.

SIDE EFFECTS OF TRU TRIO TABLET

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS

Diarrhea

Drink more fluids like water or fruit juice to keep yourself hydrated. Do not consume any medicine on your own for diarrhea without consulting your doctor.

Headache

Avoid bright lights, drink lots of water and take enough rest. Inform your doctor if symptoms show no improvement.

Nausea And Vomiting

Take this medicine with, or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily-rich or spicy foods.

Stomach Pain

Rest and relax. Eat and drink slowly or try to have lesser and more frequent meals. Keep a heating pad on your stomach. If the symptom does not improve, contact your physician for advice.

TRU TRIO TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless considered clearly necessary. Consult your physician before taking it.

BREASTFEEDING

Contraindicated

TRU TRIO TABLET is generally not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it may pass through breast milk. Consult your physician before taking it.

DRIVING AND USING MACHINES

Use with Caution

Do not drive or use machines while taking TRU TRIO TABLET as it may cause drowsiness and shakiness.

KIDNEY

TRU TRIO TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney problems. TRU TRIO TABLET should be used with caution in patients with mild to moderate kidney problems, if needed dose will be adjusted accordingly. Consult your doctor before taking.

ALLERGY

Contraindicated

Do not take TRU TRIO TABLET if you are allergic to Ginkgo biloba, Piracetam, Vinpocetine, or any other ingredients of this medicine.

HEART DISEASE

Use with Caution

TRU TRIO TABLET should be used with caution in patients with hypertension or cardiac dysfunction. Consult your doctor before taking.

USE IN PEDIATRICS

Contraindicated

TRU TRIO TABLET is not recommended for use in children and adolescents below 18 years of age. Consult your physician before taking.

USE IN GERIATRICS

The dose will be adjusted by your physician depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition, especially in case of renal impairment. Consult your doctor before taking TRU TRIO TABLET.

INTERACTIONS

A. Drug-Drug interactions:

Before taking TRU TRIO TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:

• thyroxine (used to treat thyroid disorders)
• anticoagulants such as warfarin or acenocoumarol (used to treat blood clot)
• aspirin (used to treat pain, fever)
• scopolamine (used to treat motion sickness, vomiting)
• nifedipine (used to treat hypertension)
• efavirenz (used to treat HIV)

Overdosage:

If you or anyone else accidentally took too much of TRU TRIO TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
