Introduction About TOPLAP GEL
Toplap Gel is a local anaesthetic, which is used on normal intact skin for local analgesia (pain relief). It is also used to numb the skin or surfaces of the penis or vagina for minor surgery or medical procedures. It contains Lidocaine and Prilocaine as an active ingredient.
Lidocaine and Prilocaine is a local anaesthetic, which acts by blocking pain signals from the nerves to the brain, thereby decreasing the sensation of pain.
Always apply Toplap Gel as advised by your physician. It is for external use only. You may need to apply gel as directed by your doctor at home up to 4 hours before your surgery or procedure. Do not apply near eyes or open wounds. Do not use in children under 1 month of age.

- Inform your doctor if you have severe liver disease, methemoglobinemia (blood cell disorder), glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiencies
- Inform your doctor on all the medicines you use, including prescription, over-the-counter medications and herbal supplements

What precautions must be taken while using Toplap Gel?
Care should be taken not to allow Toplap Gel to come in contact with the eye as it may cause severe eye irritation. If eye contact occurs, immediately wash out the eye with water or saline and protect the eye until the sensation returns. It may block all sensations in the managed skin. For this reason, the patient should avoid inadvertent trauma to the managed area by scratching, rubbing, or exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures until complete sensation has returned.
Is Toplap Gel safe for children?
Toplap Gel is not recommended in infants below the age of one month. Consult your child doctor for more information.
