    Introduction About THYROCHEK 100MG TABLET

    THYROCHEK 100MG TABLET contains Dextrothyroxine which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-hyperlipidemics. It is used for patients with Hypercholesterolemia (used to lower high cholesterol levels in the blood).

    THYROCHEK 100MG TABLET is not recommended for patients with cardiac arrhythmia, tachycardia and congestive heart failure. Before taking THYROCHEK 100MG TABLET inform your doctor if you have hepatic or renal impairment. Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.

    The common side effects of taking THYROCHEK 100MG TABLET are insomnia, nervousness, palpitations, tremors, loss of weight, changes in libido and gallstones. Consult your doctor if any of the above side worsen or persists for a longer duration.

    How THYROCHEK 100MG TABLET Works

    THYROCHEK 100MG TABLET is a antihyperlipidemic. Dextrothyroxine apparently acts in the liver to stimulate formation of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and, to a much greater extent, to increase catabolism of LDL. This leads to increased excretion of cholesterol and bile acids via the biliary route into the feces, with a resulting reduction in serum cholesterol and LDL.

    How to use THYROCHEK 100MG TABLET

    Take THYROCHEK 100MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
