Introduction About TEXIFEN CREAM
TEXIFEN CREAM is used topically to manage fungal skin infections. It contains Terbinafine which belongs to the group of medicines called Antifungal agents.
TEXIFEN CREAM is for external use only. Take the required quantity of the medicine and apply on the affected skin areas. Use for the stipulated duration instructed by your physician to achieve better results. Failing to do so may not result in adequate infection control. Also, inform your doctor if you don’t see any improvement in your condition after 2 weeks of therapy.
Do not use TEXIFEN CREAM if you are allergic to terbinafine. It is not suitable for use in children aged below 18 years. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
The most common side effects of using TEXIFEN CREAM are skin peeling, itching, skin color changes and burning sensation at the side effects. These side effects are usually harmless.

TEXIFEN CREAM is an antifungal medication. It effectively controls fungal infections within the body. It disrupts the fungal cell membrane by blocking the production of certain chemicals (ergosterol) within the cell which is required for its survival. As a result, it stops the fungal cell from multiplication, thereby managing the further spread of infection.
How to use TEXIFEN CREAM
- TEXIFEN CREAM is for external use only.
- Take the required quantity of the medicine and apply on the affected skin areas.
- Avoid contact of this medicine with your face, eyes, ears, nose or any other mucous membranes.
- Wash your hands before and after application.
- Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and severity of the infection.
- Do not stop using TEXIFEN CREAM without consulting your doctor.
