Introduction About STROZINA SYRUP
STROZINA SYRUP contains Citicoline which belongs to a group of medicines called Psychostimulants. STROZINA SYRUP is used in adults to manage disturbances of consciousness that occurs due to head injuries, brain operation and acute cerebral infraction.
STROZINA SYRUP is also used to manage cognitive dysfunction that occurs due to Alzheimer’s disease (brain disease that affects memory and thinking skills) and other cerebrovascular disease. It is also indicated for use in acute and recovery phase of cerebral infarction (condition that occurs due to poor blood supply to the brain) which is also used to manage Parkinson’s disease (age related degenerative brain condition).
STROZINA SYRUP is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Citicoline. It is also not recommended for use in patients suffering from hypertonia (muscle overactivity).
Before taking STROZINA SYRUP, inform your doctor if you are scheduled for any surgery and/or have kidney problems (such as renal insufficiency)/liver problems (such as hepatic insufficiency).
STROZINA SYRUP should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women only if necessary. It is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years) and is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged above 65 years) after consulting the doctor.
The most common side effects of taking STROZINA SYRUP are nausea, vomiting, constipation, headache, low blood pressure and/or agitation. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsens.
Uses Of STROZINA SYRUP
- Manage disturbances of consciousness that occurs due to head injuries, brain operation and acute cerebral infraction
- Manage cognitive dysfunction that occurs due to Alzheimer’s disease and other cerebrovascular disease
- Manage Parkinson’s disease
- Helps in the acute and recovery phase of cerebral infarction/ischemic stroke in affected individuals
How STROZINA SYRUP Works
STROZINA SYRUP works by increasing the synthesis of phosphatidylcholine (chemical that produces acetylcholine, responsible for memory and other bodily functions) which leads to improved cerebral function and cognitive function in Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. It also works by repairing neuronal membranes and damaged cholinergic neurons via potentiation of acetylcholine production and reduction of free fatty acid accumulation at stroke-induced nerve damage site which results in the management neuronal cell death thus helping in the recovery phase of cerebral infarction in affected individuals.
