Description
The Sterimed Nasopharyngeal Airway is a medical device designed to be inserted into the nasal passageway to secure an open airway, particularly when a person is unconscious and their tongue may obstruct airflow. It is made from a soft, medical-grade PVC material to reduce irritation and is anatomically shaped for patient comfort. This single-use, sterile device is intended for short-term use by qualified healthcare professionals in emergency situations.
Anatomically Designed: The airway is crafted from soft, non-irritant medical-grade PVC that adapts to the natural shape of the nasal passage for patient comfort.
Smooth for Insertion: It features a thin-walled structure with smooth, rounded edges to reduce trauma during insertion and removal.
Kink-Resistant Tube: The tubing is designed to resist kinking, which helps maintain a clear and uninterrupted pathway for air.
Rotatable Flange: A flange at the end of the tube allows for easy securing and prevents the device from being lost inside the patient's nose.
Sterile and Single-Use: Each airway is sterilized with Ethylene Oxide (EO) gas and individually packed in a peelable pouch to prevent cross-contamination.
