Description
Smith & Nephew Opsite Post-op is a post-operative dressing that merges a highly breathable film with a cushioned, low-adherent absorbent pad. It is designed for acute wounds with low to moderate exudate, such as post-operative wounds, cuts, and abrasions. The transparent, waterproof, and bacteria-proof film allows for wound monitoring without frequent dressing changes and permits showering. Its hydrophilic polyurethane film helps manage moisture, reducing the risk of skin maceration.
Waterproof Film: The dressing has a waterproof film, allowing patients to shower without needing to change it.
Bacterial Barrier: It features a bacteria-proof film that helps protect the wound from external contamination and reduces the risk of infection.
Highly Absorbent Pad: A low-adherent, highly absorbent pad quickly draws in exudate, which helps to minimize skin maceration and allows for less frequent dressing changes.
Breathable and Conformable: The film is highly breathable, allowing excess moisture to transpire, and is flexible to conform to body contours for patient comfort.
Low-Allergy Adhesive: The hypoallergenic adhesive helps to keep the dressing securely in place while being gentle on the skin.
