Introduction About SETRABET B CREAM
SETRABET B CREAM is a combination of Beclomethasone and Sertaconazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids and Antifungals respectively. It is used to manage fungal infections of the skin and skin folds in individuals with compromised immunity and in general. This medicine relieves itching, redness, irritation and swelling.
Avoid applying SETRABET B CREAM, if you are allergic to beclomethasone, sertaconazole or other topical or oral corticosteroids, and or have skin atrophy, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma (eye disorder) or cataracts, active viral illnesses such as chicken pox, measles, infected skin lesions. tuberculous lesions of the skin, and or liver failure.
SETRABET B CREAM is not recommended for use during pregnancy and in breastfeeding women. It is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (below 12 years of age). Consult your doctor using this medicine.
The most common side effects of applying SETRABET B CREAM are burning skin and tenderness at the site of application, contact dermatitis (red, itchy rash), and dry skin. Contact your doctor if any of the above symptoms gets worse.

How SETRABET B CREAM Works
SETRABET B CREAM helps to manage fungal infections, where Beclomethasone works by reducing the inflammation effects such as itching, redness, irritation and swelling by blocking the enzymes responsible for causing it, and Sertaconazole works by managing the fungal growth by blocking the necessary hormones required for the fungal growth which leads to the destruction of death of the organism thus both acts together to reduce inflammation and manage occurrence of symptoms of fungal infections.
How to use SETRABET B CREAM
Apply SETRABET B CREAM as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Apply a thin layer of this medicine on the affected area. Managed areas not needed to be covered with a plaster or bandage.
Do not use this medicine on your face. Avoid applying this medicine around your eyes, including eyelids.
Side Effects Of SETRABET B CREAM
Common
- burning skin and tenderness at the site of application
- contact dermatitis (red, itchy rash)

How To Manage Side Effects
Dry Skin:
Try moisturizing your skin with an ointment, cream, or lotion 2 or 3 times a day, or as often as needed. Moisturizers help to keep the area moisture, so they work best on damp skin. Try to avoid using skin care products and soaps that contain alcohol, fragrances, dyes, or other chemicals.

Pregnancy
SETRABET B CREAM is not recommended for use in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before applying it.

Breastfeeding
SETRABET B CREAM is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before applying it.

Liver
SETRABET B CREAM is not recommended for use in patients with liver failure. Consult your doctor before using it.

Allergy
Do not use SETRABET B CREAM if you are allergic to Beclomethasone, Sertaconazole or other topical or oral corticosteroids.
Others
SETRABET B CREAM is not recommended for use if you had or have:
- skin thinning (exacerbation of skin atrophy)
- diabetes mellitus
- eye disorders such as glaucoma or cataracts
- active viral illnesses such as chicken pox, measles, herpes simplex, vaccinia, or varicella
- infected skin lesions (if no anti-infective agent is used simultaneously)
- tuberculous lesions of the skin
Use in paediatrics:
SETRABET B CREAM is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Consult your doctor before applying it.
Interactions
A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Before applying SETRABET B CREAM, inform your doctor, if you are applying or taking any prescription, non- prescription medicines or herbal supplements.
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally applies too much of SETRABET B CREAM, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdose include suppression of pituitary adrenal function which may result in secondary adrenal insufficiency.
