Introduction About SEPTACAL TABLET
Septacal Tablet is a calcium supplement used to manage high phosphate levels in patients who are suffering from chronic kidney disease. It also reduces the risk of heart disease and stroke due to high phosphate levels.
It contains calcium acetate as an active ingredient that helps in decreasing blood phosphate levels which can help to keep the bones strong.
Calcium acetate acts as a phosphate binder that combines with dietary phosphate to form an insoluble calcium phosphate complex, which is excreted in the faeces, resulting in decreased serum phosphorus levels.
Take Septacal Tablet as advised by your doctor. It can be used in pregnant and breastfeeding women with regular monitoring of calcium levels. Safety and effectiveness in children have not been established so, consult your child’s doctor for advice.
