    Introduction About SALEX L SOLUTION

    SALEX L SOLUTION is a combination of Lactic Acid and Salicylic Acid which belongs to the group of medicines called Alpha-hydroxy acids and Keratolytics respectively. It is used to manage skin defects such as warts, verrucae, corns and calluses. Warts and verrucae are a type of small unnecessary growths of the skin occurring on fingers, back of hands or soles and are caused by a virus and can spread to other people. Corns and calluses are hard, thick pads of skin caused by pressure and friction that occur on the feet and hands.

    Lactic acid and salicylic acid in cases of corns and calluses work by softening the hardened skin growth so that it can be easily removed by using a pumice stone or emery board. It also helps manage warts and verrucae by reducing the infection and its spread to other parts of the body by killing the virus that causes them.

    Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you are diabetic or have poor circulation to your hands or feet. SALEX L SOLUTION is not recommended for children under the age of two. The medication is relatively safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women to use. The most common side effect of applying SALEX L SOLUTION is a temporary, slight tingling sensation and tenderness at the application site. This medicine also helps in reducing the infection and spread to other parts of skin by killing the virus that causes warts and verrucae.

    How to use SALEX L SOLUTION

    Always use SALEX L SOLUTION as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Apply only a thin layer of this medicine to the affected area. Do not apply to surrounding healthy skin, especially on young children’s delicate skin, because this may irritate them. Do not use it near flames or ignition sources (such as burning cigarettes or anything else that might ignite it), as it is inflammable and volatile. Do not apply SALEX L SOLUTION around your eyes, nose and mouth or to broken skin, cuts and grazes. Your doctor will determine the correct dose and duration for you depending on the type and severity of the infection.
