RINGOZONE Ointment is an antifungal agent used for eczema and ringworm. It contains salicylic acid and dithranol as active ingredients.
Salicylic acid acts by increasing the skin’s moisture content and dissolving the substance that keeps skin cells from sticking to one another. Consequently, it aids in the removal of dead skin cells. Dithranol works by slowing down the production of skin cells. It is absorbed into the skin cells and inhibits DNA production in the cells. As a result, cell division is slowed down, and excessive cell multiplication is prevented.
