    Introduction About REXTOP 1% GEL

REXTOP 1% GEL contains Methotrexate which belongs to the group of medicines called Antimetabolites. It is used to manage psoriasis. REXTOP 1% GEL is also used to manage active rheumatoid arthritis in adults, which is a complex auto-immune disorder resulting in the inflammation of the bones leading to swelling and pain. This medicine may also be used for vitiligo.

Psoriasis is a skin condition characterized by itchy scales that is not responsive to conventional managements such as phototherapy and retinoids. Vitiligo is a skin condition characterized by a loss of pigmentation, resulting in the appearance of discoloured patches on the skin.

Before using REXTOP 1% GEL, it is recommended to inform the doctor about your medical and family history, including the list of medicines (prescription, non-prescription medicines, and herbal medicines) that are being used or taken.

REXTOP 1% GEL is not recommended to be used by children less than 3 years of age, pregnant women, nursing women, or women planning to get pregnant. Consult your doctor before using the medicine.
