REXLYTE ORS ORANGE FLAVOUR Powder is an ORS rehydration powder used to restore body fluids and electrolytes lost due to rehydration. It contains Sodium chloride, Potassium chloride, Sodium citrate and Dextrose which are important to maintain normal fluid balance in the body.
The major component of ORS is glucose or dextrose. It makes the small intestine more capable of absorbing water and salt. It is necessary to restore these critical ions with sodium chloride and potassium chloride when vomiting and diarrhoea occur. When there is too much acid in the body because of diarrhoea, sodium citrate balances it out.
Take REXLYTE ORS ORANGE FLAVOUR Powder as directed by the doctor. For infants and children REXLYTE ORS ORANGE FLAVOUR Powder has to be given for 1-2 litres (5-10 glasses) over a period of 24 hours, depending upon the age and severity of dehydration. It should be used with caution in patients with impaired kidney function and intestinal obstruction. Do not take if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. REXLYTE ORS ORANGE FLAVOUR Powder should be used within 24 hours.
