    Introduction About REXIDIN PLUS MOUTH WASH

    REXIDIN PLUS MOUTH WASH is a combination of Chlorhexidine, Sodium Monofluorophosphate and Triclosan which belongs to the group of medicines called Antimicrobials, Anticaries agent and Antibacterials & Antifungal respectively. It is used to manage calculus (calcified dental plaque), periodontitis (gum infection), incipient caries (tooth decay) and to maintains oral hygiene.

    REXIDIN PLUS MOUTH WASH should be used with caution in patients with periodontal disease (gum infection). REXIDIN PLUS MOUTH WASH should be used in pregnancy and breastfeeding only when it is clearly needed. Contact your doctor before using.

    Safety and effectiveness of REXIDIN PLUS MOUTH WASH have not been established in children and adolescents under the age of 18. Contact your doctor before using. The most common side effects of using REXIDIN PLUS MOUTH WASH are mouth irritation, tooth staining, dry mouth, unpleasant taste in mouth, decrease in taste sensation. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms got worse.

    It is used to:

    • manage calculus, gum infection and incipient caries (tooth decay)
    • maintain oral hygiene

    How REXIDIN PLUS MOUTH WASH Works

    REXIDIN PLUS MOUTH WASH is a combination of Chlorhexidine, Sodium Monofluorophosphate and Triclosan. Chlorhexidine is an antiseptic, which acts against the microorganism, thus manages from infection. Sodium Mono-fluorophosphate exerts its antibacterial role by inhibiting the bacteria which helps to protect against cavities. Triclosan is an antibacterial as well antiplaque it works by reducing or destroying the microorganism, thus manages bacterial contamination.

    How to use REXIDIN PLUS MOUTH WASH

    Use REXIDIN PLUS MOUTH WASH as advised by your physician. It is for oral use only. Rinse your mouth with the medicine for about a minute. Do not swallow, spit it out. Use before eating or drinking for at least 30 to 60 minutes.

    Side Effects Of REXIDIN PLUS MOUTH WASH

    Common

    • mouth irritation
    • tooth staining
    • dry mouth
    • unpleasant taste in mouth
    • decrease in taste sensation

    Stop using REXIDIN PLUS MOUTH WASH and contact your physician immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

    • serious allergic reaction such as hives, severe skin rash, unusual wheezing, difficulty in breathing, cold sweats, dizziness, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and throat

    A. Drug-Drug interactions:

    Tell your doctor if you have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription, vitamin supplement or herbal products.

    B. Drug-Food interaction:

    Do not use tanning containing foods or drinks (such as tea, coffee, and wine) immediately after using mouth wash, it may cause tooth staining.

    Overdosage:

    If you or anyone else accidentally uses too much of REXIDIN PLUS MOUTH WASH, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
