How To Manage Side Effects

Constipation
Eat plenty of fiber-rich foods such as vegetables, fresh fruits, and cereals, and drink more water. Exercise more regularly. Consult your doctor if constipation persists.

Diarrhea
Drink a lot of fluids, such as water, squash, or fruit juice, to keep yourself hydrated. Do not consume any medicine by yourself without consulting your doctor. Ask for your doctor’s advice if diarrhea doesn’t improve.

Indigestion
Eat smaller, more frequent meals to avoid overwhelming your digestive system. Avoid foods that trigger your symptoms, such as spicy, fatty, or acidic foods, as well as caffeine and alcohol. Chew your food thoroughly to aid digestion. Avoid lying down immediately after meals to prevent acid reflux. Wait at least two to three hours before lying down. Drink plenty of water throughout the day but avoid drinking large amounts of fluids during meals to prevent bloating.

Nausea And Vomiting
Take this medicine with or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating rich or spicy food. Drink clear or ice-cold drinks; eat light, bland foods; and avoid fried, oily, or sweet foods. Consult with your doctor if the nausea does not improve.

Stomach Pain
Try to rest and relax. Eat and drink slowly or try to have fewer and more frequent meals. Keep a heating pad on your stomach. Consult with your doctor if the stomach pain does not improve.

- are feeling very weak and have no energy (debilitated)
- have low levels of phosphate in the blood (hypophosphatemia)

- are suffering from porphyria and are undergoing hemodialysis
- have intolerance to fructose
