    Uses Of RECTOL 500MG SUPPOSITORIES

    • Manage pain and fever in adults and children (over 10 years of age, who find it difficult to take the medicine orally)

    How RECTOL 500MG SUPPOSITORIES Works

RECTOL 500MG SUPPOSITORIES relieves pain by increasing the pain threshold by inhibiting certain enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2) involved in the synthesis of chemicals responsible for inducing pain (prostaglandins). It reduces fever by directly acting on heat-regulating centers in the brain, resulting in vessel relaxation, sweating and loss of body heat.

How to use RECTOL 500MG SUPPOSITORIES

Use RECTOL 500MG SUPPOSITORIES as advised by your physician. It is for rectal use only. Your bowels need to be empty when you use them. Wash your hands and peel the wrapping apart. Do not break the medicine before use. Smoothly push it into your back passage with the pointed end first. Slightly warm it between your hands beforehand to make it easier. Try to keep still for a minute or two and then clean your hands.

Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you based on your age, body weight and disease condition.
