Introduction About PROGG SACHET
PROGG SACHET contains Lactobacillus Rhamnosus which belongs to the group of medicines called Probiotics. It is used in children and adults for the management of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, acute infectious diarrhoea and traveller’s diarrhoea.
PROGG SACHET is not recommended for use in patients with severe immunocompromised states, bowel perforation (hole in intestine) or patients at risk of bowel perforation. Consult your doctor before taking it.
PROGG SACHET should be used with caution in patients suffering from short gut syndrome (condition in which the body is unable to absorb nutrients from the food), diarrhoea lasting for more than 2 days accompanied with fever, compromised immune system due to chemotherapy or HIV infection, recurring vaginal infections and urinary tract infections and diabetes.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to have a baby or breast-feeding before taking PROGG SACHET. This medicine can be used in children. Consult your child’s doctor for advice before giving it to your child.
The most common side effects of taking PROGG SACHET are flatulence (gas) and mild abdominal discomfort. Consult your doctor if any of the side effect worsens.

How PROGG SACHET Works
PROGG SACHET is a probiotic which works by enhancing intestinal microflora and promoting colonisation of good microbes in the intestine. It may also strengthen non-immunological gut barrier and inhibit growth of harmful microbes.
How to use PROGG SACHET
Take PROGG SACHET as advised by your physician. The content of this sachet can be consumed directly or can be mixed with 5 ml of lukewarm water and consumed. Your doctor will decide the exact dose and duration of management for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

Interactions
A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Before taking PROGG SACHET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines:
- azathioprine, basiliximab, cyclosporine, muromonab-CD3, mycophenolate, tacrolimus, sirolimus (medicine used for immune suppression in organ transplant patients)
- daclizumab (used for the management of multiple sclerosis)
- corticosteroids such as prednisone, (used to manage inflammatory conditions)
Overdosage:
In case you or anybody else accidently take too much of PROGG SACHET, then consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdose are passing out or difficulty breathing.
