    Introduction About POWERCORT SHAMPOO

POWERCORT SHAMPOO contains Clobetasol, which belongs to the group of medicines called Topical corticosteroids. It is used by adults for the management of redness, scaling and itchiness associated with moderate to severe scalp psoriasis. Scalp psoriasis is a skin disease that causes lumps, reddish and scaly patches affecting your entire scalp or parts of it. It also spreads to the forehead, behind the neck and inside your ears.

POWERCORT SHAMPOO is not recommended for use in patients with other bacterial, fungal, viral, or parasitic skin infections such as cold sores, varicella (chicken pox), herpes zoster (shingles), impetigo, ringworm, athlete’s foot, thrush, skin tuberculosis or skin disease caused by syphilis and ulcerous wounds on the scalp. POWERCORT SHAMPOO should be used with caution in patients with a weak immune system or other scalp infections or about to have any surgery.

POWERCORT SHAMPOO should be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if your doctor decides that the benefits will be greater than the risks. POWERCORT SHAMPOO is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (below 18 years of age) and should be used with caution in elderly patients. The most common side effects of using POWERCORT SHAMPOO are skin discomfort, burning or itching where the medicine is applied.
