Introduction About POVISEPT SOLUTION
Povisept Solution is a vaginal douche solution that is effective in symptomatic relief from minor vaginal soreness, irritation, and itching. It also promotes personal hygiene and cleansing. It contains Povidone Iodine as an active ingredient that kills bacteria, fungi, yeast, and protozoa even in the presence of blood, pus, and vaginal secretions.
Povidone Iodine is a microbiocidal agent that penetrates the cell wall of pathogens and interferes with important life processes, thereby killing the microorganisms and gently cleansing the vaginal mucosa.
Always use Povisept Solution as advised by the doctor. It is for external use only. Pour Povisept Solution into the douche bottle up to the first-fill line. Add lukewarm water till the water-fill line, attach the nozzle, and gently shake to mix.
Hold the bottle straight and gently insert the nozzle about three inches into the vagina. Squeeze the douche bottle with sustained pressure to allow the proper flow of the contents on both sides. Do not release the pressure and continue squeezing until most of the solution is used. Make an identical solution for the next use. Ask your doctor for advice.
Do not use Povisept Solution if you have been exposed to STD, have pelvic inflammatory disease, or manage pregnancy. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage of Povisept Solution.
