    Description

The Polymed CVP Manometer is a medical device intended for measuring central venous pressure (CVP), which is the pressure in the vena cava, near the right atrium of the heart. It helps healthcare professionals assess a patient's circulatory function and fluid balance, particularly in critical care settings like ICUs and operating rooms. This sterile, single-use manometer is designed for either continuous or intermittent monitoring. It is constructed from medical-grade materials and features a clear, graduated scale for precise readings.

Clear Graduated Scale: The manometer tube has easy-to-read markings from -4 cm to +34 cm, allowing for precise pressure measurement. Secure Connection: A 120 cm long extension tube is equipped with female and male luer locks to ensure a safe and leak-proof connection to the central venous catheter. Three-Way Stopcock: The attached three-way stopcock allows for easy control and connection to the central venous catheter. Sliding Indicator: A sliding indicator is included to help record readings, making it simpler for healthcare professionals to track changes in central venous pressure. Fixation Clamps: The device comes with moulded clamps and latex-free rubber strings to securely fix the manometer to an IV stand. Medication Port: A Y-injection site is provided for the administration of additional medication if required. Medical-Grade Material: The device is made from non-toxic, medical-grade polycarbonate and is DEHP-free and latex-free to prevent allergic reactions.

    Direction for Use/Dosage

For use by a qualified healthcare professional. Connect the IV tubing to the manometer and prime the entire setup, ensuring all air bubbles are removed. Attach the manometer to an IV pole using the provided clamps. Connect the extension tube from the manometer's three-way stopcock to the patient's central venous catheter. Turn the stopcock to allow the IV fluid to flow into the manometer, filling it to a level above the expected CVP reading. Turn the stopcock to connect the manometer to the patient. The fluid level will drop and fluctuate with respiration. Read the CVP measurement at the point where the fluid level stabilizes at the end of the patient's expiration. Use the sliding indicator to mark the reading for future reference.
