Introduction About PILZBAN LOTION
PILZBAN LOTION contains Oxiconazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Antifungal agents. It is used in the topical management of fungal skin infections (such as athlete’s foot, Jock itch, ringworm infection, pityriasis versicolor (small, discoloured patches on the skin)).
PILZBAN LOTION is for external use only. Take the required quantity of the medicine and apply to the affected skin areas. Do not cover the affected areas after applying this medicine.
Use PILZBAN LOTION for the stipulated duration instructed by your physician to achieve better results. Failing to do so may not result in adequate infection control. Also, inform your doctor if you don’t see any improvement in your condition after 2-4 weeks of therapy.
Before using PILZBAN LOTION inform your doctor if you are allergic to oxiconazole. You must also inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding as a precaution.
The most common side-effects of using PILZBAN LOTION are irritation, burning sensation and/or redness at the site of application. Contact your doctor if it troubles you.

How PILZBAN LOTION Works
PILZBAN LOTION is an antifungal medication. It effectively controls fungal infections of the skin. It disrupts the fungal cell membrane by blocking the production of certain chemicals (ergosterol) within the cell which is required for its survival. As a result, it stops the fungal cell from multiplication, thereby managing the further spread of infection.
How to use PILZBAN LOTION
PILZBAN LOTION is for external use only. Take the required quantity of the medicine and apply to the affected skin areas.
Avoid contact of this medicine with your eyes, ears, nose or any other mucous membranes. Do not cover the affected area after applying this medicine.
Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending on your age, body weight and severity of the infection. Do not stop using PILZBAN LOTION without consulting your doctor.
Side Effects Of PILZBAN LOTION

- Application site reactions (such as burning, itching or irritation)
- Skin redness

Stop using PILZBAN LOTION and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects such as:
- severe skin irritation with papules, inflammation, blistering of skin, swelling or oozing
How To Manage Side Effects
Application Site Reactions:
Place an icepack on the affected skin areas to ease the irritation. Avoid using harsh chemicals or soaps on the affected areas. Wear protective loose-fitting clothes while going outdoors. Regularly moisturize your skin. Avoid exposing your skin towards direct sunlight. If the condition did not improve, contact your doctor.

Pregnancy
PILZBAN LOTION should be used in pregnant women only if it is considered necessary by the physician. Therefore, inform your doctor before using it.
Breastfeeding
PILZBAN LOTION should be used with caution in breastfeeding women. Therefore, consult your doctor before using it.
Driving and Using Machines
PILZBAN LOTION does not affect your ability for driving or handling any heavy tools or machines.
Allergy
Do not use PILZBAN LOTION if you are allergic to Oxiconazole.
Others
Before using PILZBAN LOTION, inform your doctor if you:
