Introduction About PHYTORAL DUSTING POWDER
PHYTORAL DUSTING POWDER contains Ketoconazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Antifungals. It is used to topically manage fungal infections like tinea corporis (a skin infection of the trunk and extremities) and tinea cruris (infection of the proximal thighs and buttocks, also known as “jock itch”).
It can also be used to manage tinea pedis (also known as “athlete’s foot” and occurs in hot weather, with exposure to surface reservoirs and use of occlusive footwear) and cutaneous candidiasis (yeast infection of the skin).
Before applying PHYTORAL DUSTING POWDER inform your doctor if you have any skin problems or allergies. There is no adequate data available for use of PHYTORAL DUSTING POWDER in pregnancy. It should be used with caution in breastfeeding women.
The safety and effectiveness of PHYTORAL DUSTING POWDER in children have not been established. Contact your doctor if you experience any side effects or if any of the symptoms get worse.
Uses Of PHYTORAL DUSTING POWDER
Used for the topical management of:
- tinea corporis
- tinea cruris
- tinea pedis
- cutaneous candidiasis
How PHYTORAL DUSTING POWDER Works
PHYTORAL DUSTING POWDER reduces infection by disrupting the production of ergosterol (an important component of fungal cell membranes), thus disrupting the cell membrane of infecting fungus.
How to use PHYTORAL DUSTING POWDER
Apply PHYTORAL DUSTING POWDER as advised by your physician. It is for external use only. Apply PHYTORAL DUSTING POWDER once daily to cover the affected and immediate surrounding area.
Use it only for the quantity and duration (preferably 2 weeks) specified by your doctor. Your physician will decide the correct dose and duration for you according to your age, body weight and disease condition.

Stop using PHYTORAL DUSTING POWDER and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
- worsening of the condition
- worsening of the irritation at the application site

Pregnancy
