PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET is a combination of Pregabalin, Methylcobalamin, Folic Acid and Pyridoxine which belongs to the group of medicines called Alpha 2 delta ligand and Vitamin B respectively. PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET is used to manage painful diabetic neuropathy (nerve damage due to uncontrolled or long-standing diabetes) in adults.
PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems, heart failure and fits. Consult your doctor before taking it.
PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET is generally not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women unless it is considered clearly necessary. Consult your doctor before taking it.
The safety and effectiveness of PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET have not been established. It should be used with caution in elderly patients. Consult your doctor before taking it.
The most common side effect of taking PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET are dizziness, somnolence, dry mouth, blurred vision, weight gain etc. Consult your physician if any of the symptoms worsen.

How PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET Works
PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET is a combination of Pregabalin, Methylcobalamin, Folic Acid and Pyridoxine where Pregabalin is an alpha 2 delta ligand works by decreasing the number of pain signals that are sent out by damaged nerves to the brain. Methyl cobalamin helps to improve nerve conduction and helps in the production of myelin (a substance that protects nerve fibers) and regenerates damaged nerve cells. Folic acid is also a form of vitamin B and is required for normal nerve growth and Pyridoxine affects the certain chemicals in the brain called neurotransmitters which are involved in the transmission of pain. Together, helps to relive painful diabetic neuropathy.
How to use PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET
Take PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET as directed by your physician. It can be taken with or without food. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water and do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the right dose and duration depending on your age, body weight and disease condition. Do not stop taking PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET without informing your physician.

- dizziness, somnolence

- thinking abnormally (difficulty with concentration or attention)
- ataxia (impaired coordination), confusion
- weakness
- peripheral oedema (swelling of hands and legs)
Rare
Stop taking PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET and contact your physician immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
- angioedema (symptoms include swelling of the face, mouth (tongue, lips and gums) and neck (throat and larynx)) causing difficulty breathing
- hypersensitivity or allergic reactions (symptoms include skin redness, blisters, hives, rash, shortness of breath and wheezing)
- signs and symptoms of depression, suicidal thoughts or behaviour and/or any unusual changes in mood or behaviour or thoughts about self-harm
- unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness associated with malaise or fever
How To Manage Side Effects
Dizziness Or Drowsiness
Try to rest and relax. Get enough sleep. Avoid driving or operate any machines while you are feeling dizzy. Do not drink alcohol, as it can aggravate your dizziness. Contact your doctor if your dizziness did not improve.
Dry Mouth
Dry mouth can be managed by chewing sugar-free gum or sucking on sugar-free hard candies to stimulate the flow of saliva. Sip water at regular intervals of time. Do not use mouthwashes that contain alcohol because they can be drying. Consult your doctor if the dry mouth gets worse.

Kidney

Liver
SafePEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET can be used safely in patients with liver disease and no dose adjustment is required for these patients. Consult your doctor before taking it.
Allergy
ContraindicatedDo not take PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET if you are allergic to Pregabalin, Methylcobalamin, Folic Acid and Pyridoxine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Heart Disease

- history of angioedema

Interactions
A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Before taking PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:
- angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (used to manage high blood pressure and heart diseases) (Ex. ramipril, captopril)
- thiazolidinedione (used to manage diabetes mellitus) (Ex. rosiglitazone, pioglitazone)
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET, consult your physician immediately or visit the nearby hospital.

A: PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET may cause blurred vision, reduction in visual acuity and changes in visual field. Inform your doctor if you experience any visual disturbance after taking this medicine.
Q: Can PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET cause dependence?
A: When PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET is stopped suddenly or rapid discontinuation of this medicine, may cause symptoms like insomnia (sleeplessness), nausea, headache or diarrhoea, anxiety and excessive sweating.
Q: What happens if you miss a dose of PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET?
A: If you forget to take a dose of PEVESCA PLUS SR 150MG TABLET, take it as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the right time. Do not take the medicine twice to make up for the forgotten dose.
