Introduction About PEPTICAINE LIQUID
PEPTICAINE LIQUID is a combination of Aluminium hydroxide, Magnesium hydroxide, Oxetacaine and Simethicone which belongs to the group of medicines called Antacids, Saline laxatives, Anesthetic antacids and Gastrointestinal agents respectively. It is used for symptomatic relief of gastric hyperacidity associated with gastritis, peptic ulcer, and esophageal reflux with heartburn.
PEPTICAINE LIQUID is not recommended for use in patients having renal failure, partial intestinal obstruction, gastric outlet obstruction, constipation, or hypophosphatemia (low level of phosphate). Consult your doctor for advice. Before taking PEPTICAINE LIQUID inform your doctor if you have porphyria and are undergoing hemodialysis and are on a low phosphorous diet.
There are limited studies on the use of PEPTICAINE LIQUID during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Your doctor will prescribe the right dose depends on your child’s age, body weight and disease condition. Consult your doctor before taking PEPTICAINE LIQUID.The most common side effects of taking PEPTICAINE LIQUID are diarrhea, stomach pain, bloating, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, indigestion. Consult your doctor’s advice if any of these worsen or persists for a longer duration.

It is used for symptomatic relief of gastric hyperacidity associated with:

How PEPTICAINE LIQUID Works
PEPTICAINE LIQUID helps in the management of various gastrointestinal problems where Aluminium hydroxide neutralises excess stomach acid and helps to protect the lining of stomach from acid irritation. Magnesium hydroxide decreases stomach acid and increases the amount of water in the intestines that may induce the movements of bowel. Oxetacaine relieves pain and neutralize stomach acid and manage further irritation of the food pipe. Simethicone disintegrates gas bubbles and allows easy passage of gas.
How to use PEPTICAINE LIQUID
Take PEPTICAINE LIQUID as advised by your physician. Shake well before use. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending on your age, disease condition, and body weight.

Constipation

Nausea And Vomiting
Take this medicine with, or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating rich or spicy food. Drink clear or ice-cold drinks, eat light, bland foods and avoid fried, oily, or sweet foods. Consult with your doctor for advice if the symptom does not improve or worsens.
Stomach Pain
Try to rest and relax. Eat and drink slowly or try to have lesser and more frequent meals. Keep a heating pad on your stomach. Consult with your doctor for advice if the symptom does not improve or worsens.

A. Drug–Drug Interactions:
Tell your physician if you are taking any of the following medicines before taking PEPTICAINE LIQUID:
- beta-blocking agents such as propranolol, metoprolol (used to manage heart diseases), quinidine (used to manage irregular heartbeats)
- cimetidine (used to manage stomach disturbances)
- chloroquine (used to manage malaria)
- NSAIDs such as ibuprofen celecoxib (used to manage pain and inflammation)
- phenytoin (used to manage epilepsy)
- levofloxacin (used to manage infections)
- iron preparations
- ethambutol, isoniazid (used to manage tuberculosis)
- phenothiazine (used to manage mental illness)
- levothyroxine (used to manage underactive thyroid)
- rosuvastatin (used to manage cholesterol)
Overdosage:
