Introduction About PELLIWASH SHAMPOO
PELLIWASH SHAMPOO contains Fluocinolone which belongs to the group of medicines called as Corticosteroids. It is used to manage seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp. Seborrheic dermatitis is a condition which majorly affects the scalp and cause red skin, scaly patches and stubborn dandruff.
Before using PELLIWASH SHAMPOO, inform your doctor if you have any skin infections or if you are using any other medicines. PELLIWASH SHAMPOO should be used in pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the baby and should be used with caution in breastfeeding women.
Safety and effectiveness of PELLIWASH SHAMPOO in children and infants have not been established so, consult your child’s doctor for advice. Patients may experience local reactions like burning, itching, irritation, dryness, etc. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen over time.

How PELLIWASH SHAMPOO Works
PELLIWASH SHAMPOO reduces the swelling and constriction of the blood vessels by inhibiting the factors that cause swelling and inflammation. It also blocks the pathway of certain substances that cause inflammation (prostaglandins).
How to use PELLIWASH SHAMPOO
Always apply PELLIWASH SHAMPOO as directed by your doctor. It is for external use only. Shake well before use. PELLIWASH SHAMPOO should be applied on thoroughly wet hair and scalp and should be massaged onto the scalp. Leave it for 5 minutes and then rinse thoroughly with water. Avoid any contact with eyes. Your doctor will decide the right dose and duration of therapy for you according to your age, body weight and disease condition.

Stop using PELLIWASH SHAMPOO and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
- HPA axis suppression (detected by certain tests)

Allergy

Interactions
A. Drug – Drug Interactions:
Before using PELLIWASH SHAMPOO, inform your doctor if you are using, have used or might use any other medicine, including prescription, non-prescription or any herbal medicine.
Overdosage:
In case of accidental ingestion or overuse of PELLIWASH SHAMPOO, consult your doctor or visit nearby hospital immediately. Symptoms of overdose include Cushing’s syndrome (extreme tiredness, muscle weakness, headaches), hyperglycaemia or glucosuria (increased thirst and frequency of urination, dry mouth, blurred vision, tiredness).

What if I forget to apply a dose of PELLIWASH SHAMPOO?
If you forget to apply a dose of PELLIWASH SHAMPOO, do it as soon as you remember. However, omit that dose if it's almost time for the next one. Do not apply a double quantity of PELLIWASH SHAMPOO to make up for the missed dose.
What if PELLIWASH SHAMPOO accidentally gets into my eyes, mouth or nose?
Avoid getting PELLIWASH SHAMPOO into your eyes, mouth or nose. In case it comes in contact with these areas accidentally, wash with water thoroughly. See your doctor if any discomfort occurs.
Can PELLIWASH SHAMPOO affect overall health?
Patients receiving a large dose of PELLIWASH SHAMPOO either by applying to a large area or having covered dressings can absorb the medicine in a sufficient amount which can cause HPA axis suppression, Cushing's syndrome and intracranial hypertension, for which you will be evaluated periodically.
