Introduction About PEGICOL POWDER
Pegicol Powder is a laxative which is used in the management of constipation and fecal impaction. It contains polyethylene glycol, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate and potassium chloride as the active ingredients.
Polyethylene glycol, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate and potassium chloride manage the reabsorption of water, which causes water retention in the stool. As a result, the stool softens and increases the number of bowel movements.
Take Pegicol Powder as recommended by your doctor. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. Disperse Pegicol Powder in 125ml of water and stir well before drinking it. Not recommended for children below 12 years of age. It is not recommended in patients with ileus, gastrointestinal obstruction, gastric retention, bowel perforation, toxic colitis, or toxic megacolon.
