    Introduction About PAUSE XT TABLET

    PAUSE XT TABLET contains a combination of Tranexamic Acid, Citrus Bioflavonoids, Menadione, and Tribasic Calcium Phosphate which belongs to the group of medicines called Antifibrinolytic agents. It is used to control or reduce excessive bleeding during periods or after surgery.

    PAUSE XT TABLET is not recommended for use in patients having active or history of thromboembolic disease (Ex. deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, or cerebral thrombosis including retinal vein or artery occlusion, thrombogenic valvular disease, thrombogenic cardiac rhythm disease, or hypercoagulopathy).

    Before taking PAUSE XT TABLET inform your doctor if you have stomach ulcer, liver disease or blood clotting problems. PAUSE XT TABLET is generally not recommended to use in pregnant women and it should be used with caution in breastfeeding women. PAUSE XT TABLET is not recommended for use in premenarcheal girls and postmenopausal women.

    PAUSE XT TABLET should be used with caution in female adolescents below 18 years of age. The most common side effects of PAUSE XT TABLET are headaches, sinus and nasal problems, back pain, stomach pain, pain in the muscles or joints, anemia, and fatigue. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen or do not improve.

    How PAUSE XT TABLET Works

    PAUSE XT TABLET contains a combination of Tranexamic Acid, Citrus Bioflavonoids, Menadione, and Tribasic Calcium Phosphate, where Tranexamic acid is an antifibrinolytic agent that works by forming blood clots normally to reduce bleeding during periods, or after surgery. Tribasic Calcium Phosphate and Citrus Bioflavonoid provide essential nutrients. Menadione is a blood clotting vitamin that controls excessive bleeding.

    How to use PAUSE XT TABLET

    Take PAUSE XT TABLET as advised by your doctor. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water and try to take it at the same time. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of PAUSE XT TABLET for you depending on your age, disease condition, and body weight.

    Side Effects Of PAUSE XT TABLET

    Common

    • headaches
    • sinus and nasal problems
    • back pain
    • stomach pain
    • pain in the muscles or joints
    • anemia
    • fatigue

    Rare

    Stop taking PAUSE XT TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

    • allergic reaction (signs include itching and/or skin rash, severe shortness of breath, pain or feeling of heaviness in the chest, coughing up blood, unusual pain or swelling in the arms or legs, and fainting)
    • problems with eyesight (like color vision, blood clots in the eye)

    Headache

    Avoid bright lights, drink a lot of water and take enough rest. Consult your doctor if symptoms do not improve.

    Stomach Pain

    Keep a heat pad on your stomach. Avoid oily and spicy food. Consult your doctor if symptoms do not improve.

    Pregnancy

    Contraindicated

    PAUSE XT TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women or women planning to have a baby. Consult your doctor before taking it.

    Breastfeeding

    Use with Caution

    PAUSE XT TABLET should be used with caution in breastfeeding women only if clearly needed. Consult your doctor before taking it.

    Kidney

    Use with Caution

    PAUSE XT TABLET should be taken with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Consult your doctor before taking it.

    Allergy

    Contraindicated

    Do not take PAUSE XT TABLET if you are allergic to Tranexamic Acid, Citrus Bioflavonoids, Menadione, Tribasic Calcium Phosphate, or any other ingredient of the medicine.

    Others

    PAUSE XT TABLET is not recommended for use if you have:

    Interactions

    A. Drug-Drug interactions:

    Before taking PAUSE XT TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines:

    • medicines used to help the blood to form clots (Ex. streptokinase)
    • medicines used to help break the clots (Ex. warfarin)
    • medicines used to manage leukemia (Ex. cyclophosphamide)
    • birth control pills or hormonal birth control

    Overdosage:

    If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much of PAUSE XT TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdosage include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, or visual disturbances.
