How OXRA L 10 TABLET Works
- Dapagliflozin is a reversible inhibitor of sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) that improves glycaemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus by reducing renal glucose reabsorption leading to urinary excretion of excess glucose (glucouresis).
- Linagliptin is an inhibitor of DPP-4, an enzyme that degrades the incretin hormones glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP). Linagliptin helps to control blood sugar levels by increasing substances (incretins) in the body that make the pancreas release more insulin. It also signals the liver to stop producing sugar (glucose) when there is too much sugar in the blood.
