Introduction About OTRINOZ PAEDIATRIC 0.2/+0.1/ DROPS
Otrinoz Nasal Drops is a nasal decongestant used in children (1 to 11 years old) to relieve irritation and dryness of nasal passage. It contains Xylometazoline Hydrochloride and Sorbitol as active ingredients that helps to reduce swelling and congestion.
Xylometazoline hydrochloride helps to quickly relieve a blocked nose and allow to breathe normally by helping to open up and clear the nasal passage. It does this by reducing the excessive nasal secretions and returning the swollen blood vessels to their normal size. Sorbitol enhances the moisturization of the air inspired and expired.
Always use Otrinoz Nasal Drops as advised by the doctor. It should not be used for more than 3 times a day for more than 10 days continuously. It is not recommended for use if the child is diagnosed with long term inflammation of sinuses (chronic sinusitis) along with dry nasal passages.
Otrinoz Nasal Drops is not recommended for use it if the child recently had a trans-nasal surgery (a brain surgery carried out through nose or mouth) and/or is diagnosed with narrow angle glaucoma (an increased pressure in the eyes).
