    Q: What is ONEREX used for?

    A: ONEREX is used in the management of dry cough associated with allergic rhinitis, common cold, tonsillitis, pharyngitis and tuberculosis.

    Q. Will ONEREX may you feel sleepy or drowsy?

    A: ONEREX can induce drowsiness or sleepiness. Therefore, refrain from activities like driving, operating machinery, working at heights, or engaging in potentially hazardous tasks until you understand the impact of the medication on your alertness. If you encounter such episodes while on this medication, inform your doctor.

    Q: How ONEREX works?

    A: ONEREX contains two medicines namely Chlorpheniramine and Codeine. Chlorpheniramine is an anti-allergic medicine. It stops the release of certain chemicals within the body that triggers allergic responses (like sneezing or cough refluxes). Codeine is a cough suppressant that inactivates the cough centre in the brain. Collectively, this medicine manages the initiation of cough reflux.

    A: The most common side effects of taking ONEREX includes sedation, drowsiness, deep sleep, tiredness, dizziness, difficulty to concentrate, low blood pressure, lack of muscle control, nausea, constipation, dry mouth, diarrhoea, stomach pain, heaviness in chest, ringing in ears, poor appetite. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsens or persists for a longer duration.

    A: ONEREX is considered safe at doses prescribed by the physician. It should be used under careful medical supervision. It may cause excessive dizziness, drowsiness, sedation, constipation, dry mouth, low blood pressure, etc. which are considered normal. Severe side effects associated with ONEREX are infrequent and uncommon.
