- seasonal allergic conjunctivitis (eye inflammation, redness, itching, irritation, watery eyes)
- eye inflammation following eye surgeries
How OLOPAT KT EYE DROPS Works
OLOPAT KT EYE DROPS contains two medicines namely ketorolac and olopatadine. Ketorolac is a pain-relieving medication. It blocks the release of certain chemicals in the body (such as prostaglandins) that causes inflammation, redness and swelling. When applied topically on the eyes, it reduces redness, soreness, pain, itching and swelling.
Olopatadine is an anti-allergic agent. It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers (such as histamines) in the eye that triggers allergic reactions in the eye.
Collectively, this medicine manages the onset of allergic reactions in the eye and provides relief from the unpleasant symptoms associated with allergic conjunctivitis (such as eye itching, irritation and inflammation).
How to use OLOPAT KT EYE DROPS
Use OLOPAT KT EYE DROPS as advised by your physician. It is for ophthalmic use only. Tilt your head slightly backwards and gently pull your lower eyelid. Instil few drops of this medicine into the eyes and close your eyes for 2 minutes. Repeat the same for the other eye if required. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove the lens before applying OLOPAT KT EYE DROPS and wait for at least 15 minutes before reinsertion.
Wash your hands before and after application. Leave a time gap of 5 minutes before applying other medicines on your eyes/ears. Do not touch the tip of the container with your eyes, eyelids, areas around your eyes, outer part of the ears or fingers, to avoid contamination.
Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and health condition. If there is no improvement in your condition even after using this medicine for 7 days, consult your doctor for advice.
