Introduction About OCUVANA EYE GEL
OCUVANA EYE GEL contains Sodium Hyaluronate, which belongs to the group of medicines called Ophthalmic Viscoelastic Agents. It is used in the management of mild to severe dry eyes, post-operated dry eyes, and corneal burns.
Dry eye, which occurs when tears aren't able to provide adequate moisture, can affect one or both of the eyes. It occurs for various reasons, such as environmental conditions, aging, the use of contact lenses, and medications. Symptoms include dry, red, and inflamed, discomfort, and sensitivity to light.
Before using OCUVANA EYE GEL, inform your doctor if you have narrow-angle glaucoma and if you wear contact lenses.
OCUVANA EYE GEL may cause blurred vision for a short time after application, even at normal dosages and with proper use. This can subsequently impair your reaction while driving or operating machines; hence, caution should be exercised.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, consult your doctor for advice before using OCUVANA EYE GEL.
The most common side effects of using OCUVANA EYE GEL are blurred vision, swelling of the eyelids, eye redness, discomfort, and irritation. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.

How OCUVANA EYE GEL Works
OCUVANA EYE GEL makes the lubricating contents of the eye more viscous, and hence the eye is provided with an intensive, soothing, and moisturizing film. Persistent or more severe symptoms of dry eye are relieved, and the eye is protected against further irritation.
How to use OCUVANA EYE GEL
Use OCUVANA EYE GEL as advised by your physician. It is for ophthalmic use only. Wash your hands before and after using this medicine. To apply the medicine, tilt your head back and look up. Gently pull down the lower lid to form a sac. Instill OCUVANA EYE GEL and close your eyes for 1-2 minutes, and then blink to spread the medicine across the surface of the eye. Do not touch the tip of the nozzle to any surface, as this may contaminate the gel. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of OCUVANA EYE GEL for you depending upon your age and severity of the condition.
Side Effects Of OCUVANA EYE GEL
Common
- blurred vision
- eye redness, discomfort, or other irritation
- increased sensitivity of the eyes to light
- matting or stickiness of eyelashes
- swelling of the eyelids
- watering of the eye

How To Manage Side Effects
Visual Disturbances
Try to take some time to rest after using the medicine. Close your eyes for a few minutes, and do not rub them. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
