    NIVEOLI INHALER is a fixed-dose combination of beclomethasone and formoterol which belongs to the group of medicines called anti-asthmatic drugs. It is used in the management of It is used management of asthma and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) and its symptoms in patients who do not respond to other medicines.

    Asthma is a condition which causes swelling and narrowing of the airways resulting in breathing difficulty, extra mucus secretion, breathing difficulty, whistling sound (wheezing) when you breathe out and shortness of breath.

    Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a chronic inflammatory lung disease that obstructs the regular airflow from the lungs causing breathing difficulty. Emphysema and chronic bronchitis are the two most common conditions of COPD.

    NIVEOLI INHALER is not recommended for use in patients allergic to beclomethasone or formoterol. NIVEOLI INHALER should be used with caution in patients with heart disease, high blood pressure(hypertension), kidney disease, thyroid disorder, and diabetes. Avoid concomitant use of other antimicrobials and anti-depressants along with NIVEOLI INHALER.

    NIVEOLI INHALER is not recommended for use in pregnant women and breast milk. Consult your doctor before taking NIVEOLI INHALER. NIVEOLI INHALER is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (below 18 years of age).     NIVEOLI INHALER is an anti-asthmatic medicine that works by managing breathing difficulty. It has two medicines namely beclomethasone and formoterol. Beclomethasone a corticosteroid works by blocking the action of cells responsible for causing inflammation in the airways (such as mast cells, eosinophils, basophils, lymphocytes, macrophages, and neutrophils).

    Formoterol actively produces relaxation to the smooth muscles in the airway managing constriction of smooth muscles and breathing difficulty. Thus, beclomethasone and formoterol act by reducing the inflammation and dilating the airway smooth muscle facilitating normal breathing.

    Take NIVEOLI INHALER as advised by your physician. It is for inhalation use only. Do not miss any dose of NIVEOLI INHALER. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. Rinse your mouth with water after using NIVEOLI INHALER.

    Side Effects Of NIVEOLI INHALER

    Common

    • sore throat, abnormal voice
    • oral infections, lung infection (pneumonia)
    • headache

    Uncommon

    • viral infections, fungal infections
    • stomach infections, stomach pain
    • nasal congestion, runny nose
    • skin inflammation
    • decreased white blood cell
    • low levels of potassium

    • uneven heartbeat, increased blood flow to tissues

    • weakened immune system (immunosuppression) which causes frequent infections such as ear infections, bronchitis, and skin infections symptoms include fever, pain, body pain, chills tiredness, nausea, and vomiting
    • reduced adrenal function (adrenal insufficiency), symptoms include
      tiredness, nausea, vomiting, lack of energy, low blood pressure, weakness
    • sudden breathing difficulty immediately after inhaling NIVEOLI INHALER
    • serious allergic reactions such as rash, swelling of your face, mouth, and tongue, hives, breathing problems
    • serious reactions in the heart such as increased blood pressure, chest pain, irregular heartbeat
    • osteoporosis causing bone thinning or weakness
    • growth impairment in children and adolescents
    • decreased potassium levels (hypokalaemia) symptoms include less oxygen supply to tissues
    • eye problems including glaucoma, increased ocular pressure in eyes, cataracts, vision changes

    Headache

    Take some rest, in a quiet place avoid using user mobile phones and other electronic devices for a while. Drink enough amount of Water, dehydration may lead you to develop a headache. If the symptom does not improve, contact your doctor.

    Sore Throat

    Hot water gargling will help relieve sore throat and manage bacterial infections. Drinking tea will give you relief. Adding food substances like peppermint oil, liquorice root, marshmallow root, fenugreek, and apple cyder vinegar to your daily diet will help you manage sore throat. Avoid contact with sick people. Wash your hands frequently to avoid further infections.

    NIVEOLI INHALER should be used with caution in patients with heart diseases such as angina (chest pain), heart attack (myocardial infarction), heart failure, coronary heart disease), arteriosclerosis, high blood pressure, irregular heart rate, rapid pulse rate or other heart diseases.     Before taking NIVEOLI INHALER inform your doctor if you:

    • have hyperthyroidism (excess production of thyroid hormone)
    • have low levels of potassium
    • have diabetes
    • have a tumour in the adrenal gland (phaeochromocytoma)
