    NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION contains Nimesulide which belongs to a group of medicine called Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It is used to manage acute pain, painful osteoarthritis and primary dysmenorrhea.

    Your doctor might advise regular liver function tests during management with NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION. Consult your doctor for advice.

    Before taking NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION tell your doctor if you have ever had kidney disease, heart disease, liver problems. Consult your doctor for advice.

    Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION. Consult your doctor for advice.

    NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 12 years of age. Consult your doctor before taking.

    NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years or above). Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.

    The most common side effects of NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION are diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen or persists for a longer duration.

    How To Manage Side Effects

    Bloating

    Eat smaller and frequent meals. Eat and drink slowly, and exercise regularly. Consult your doctor if the symptom did not improve.

    Constipation

    Eat fiber rich foods such as fresh fruit, vegetables and cereals, and drink plenty of water. Exercise more regularly.

    Diarrhea

    Drink lot of fluid such as water or squash, to avoid dehydration. Do not take any other medicines without talking to a doctor.

    Dizziness Or Drowsiness

    Try to rest and relax. Get enough sleep. Avoid driving or operating any tools or machines while you are feeling dizzy. Do not consume too much of alcohol, as it can aggravate your dizziness. Consult your doctor if the symptom did not improve.

    Nausea And Vomiting

    Try taking this medicine with, or just after, a meal or snack and stick to simple meals and do not eat rich or spicy food.

    Breastfeeding

    Contraindicated

    NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking it.

    Driving and Using Machines

    Use with Caution

    Do not drive or operate any machines if you feel dizziness or vertigo, somnolence after taking NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION.

    Alcohol

    Contraindicated

    Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during management with NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION. Consult your doctor for advice.

    Kidney

    Contraindicated

    NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION is not recommended in patients with severe renal impairment. Consult your doctor before taking.

    Liver

    Contraindicated

    NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION is not recommended in patients with liver impairment. Consult your doctor before taking.

    Allergy

    Contraindicated

    Do not take NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Nimesulide or any other ingredients of this medicine.

    Heart Disease

    Contraindicated

    NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION is not recommended in patients with severe heart failure. Consult your doctor before taking.

    Others

    NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION is not recommended for use if you:

    • have active gastric or duodenal ulcer
    • have history of recurrent ulceration or gastrointestinal bleeding
    • have cerebrovascular bleeding or other active bleeding or bleeding disorders
    • have severe coagulation disorders

    Before taking NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION, inform your doctor if you:

    • have gastrointestinal disorders
    • have ulcerative colitis, or Crohn's disease
    • have bleeding diathesis

    Use in Pediatrics:

    NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 12 years of age. Consult your doctor before taking.

    Use in Geriatrics:

    NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years or above). Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.

    Interactions

    A. Drug-Drug interactions:

    Before taking NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:

    • warfarin (used to manage blood clot)
    • acetylsalicylic acid
    • furosemide
    • lithium (used for mental problem)
    • glibenclamide, tolbutamide (used to manage diabetes)
    • theophylline (used for breathing problems)
    • digoxin (used to manage heart problems)
    • cimetidine, aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide (used to manage stomach ulcers)
    • methotrexate (used to manage cancer)
    • valproic acid (manages epilepsy)

    Overdosage:

    If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much of NIMIND 50MG SUSPENSION, consult your doctor immediately. Symptoms of overdose are drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, hypertension.
