    Introduction About NIMICA 1% GEL

    NIMICA 1% GEL contains Nimesulide which belongs to the group of medicines called Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is used in inflammatory conditions including joint disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, pain, post-traumatic, post-operative painful condition and sports injuries.

    NIMICA 1% GEL is not recommended for use if the patient is allergic to Nimesulide or to any of the medicines used for inflammation or pain.

    It is not recommended for use in patients with acute allergic reactions, such as cold and nettle rash. NIMICA 1% GEL is not recommended for use if you have damaged or infected skin.

    NIMICA 1% GEL is generally not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before using it.

    NIMICA 1% GEL is not recommended for use in children and adolescents below 12 years of age. Consult your doctor before using it.

    Stop using NIMICA 1% GEL and contact your doctor immediately if you experience stronger irritation to the skin (pronounced redness, signs of irritation or burning). Consult your doctor if any of the above side effects worsen.

    Uses Of NIMICA 1% GEL

    Used in the inflammatory condition including joint disorders such as:

    • rheumatoid arthritis
    • osteoarthritis
    • pain
    • post-traumatic and post-operative painful condition
    • sports injuries

    How NIMICA 1% GEL Works

    NIMICA 1% GEL works by blocking the enzyme involved in the production of certain chemical substances during injuries, which are responsible for causing pain, redness and inflammation in the body. This type of action is useful in decreasing the pain and swelling caused after tendon and joint injuries.

    How to use NIMICA 1% GEL

    Always apply NIMICA 1% GEL as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Apply the medicine evenly to the surface and then rub it into the skin. After rubbing you should wait until the surface of the skin is dry to avoid contamination of clothing.

    Do not rub it intensively into the affected area and you should not put elastic straps over it. When using NIMICA 1% GEL you should take care that it does not encounter the eyes, nose and mouth cavity, as well as on the genital area or the anus.

    The correct dose and duration will be decided by your doctor depending on age, body weight and disease condition.

    Side Effects Of NIMICA 1% GEL

    Rare

    • local stimulation
    • redness, skin rashes, exfoliating and itching
    • transient loss of skin colour or transfer of colour on clothing
